JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the HR department. The role includes assisting with recruitment, maintaining employee records, coordinating training and induction programs, supporting payroll administration, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labour legislation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including scheduling interviews, preparing interview documents, and maintaining candidate records.
- Maintain and update employee files, records, and HR databases.
- Support onboarding and induction processes for new employees.
- Help coordinate employee training, performance appraisals, and development initiatives.
- Provide administrative support in the preparation of HR-related documentation such as contracts, warning letters, and confirmation letters.
- Handle employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), and other labour regulations.
- Assist with compiling HR reports and statistics for management.
- Support general HR projects and initiatives as required.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource / Management or a related field.
- Diploma in Labour Law (added advantage).
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in an HR administrative or assistant role.
