🔧 Mechanical Fitter / Fitter (X2 Positions)
📍 Kendal Power Station/Camden Power Station
🛠 Type: Maintenance
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintenance, repair, installation, and testing of valves and mechanical equipment
• Work on isolation, control, safety, and pressure relief valves
• Ensure compliance with Eskom PSR rules and procedures
• Participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments
• Fault finding and troubleshooting of valve systems
• Maintain safety standards and report hazards
• Ensure good housekeeping in all work areas
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and safety teams
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 2 years’ valve maintenance experience in a Power Station environment
• Red Seal Trade Qualification – Mechanical Fitter / Fitter
• Matric / N3 Certificate
• PSR Responsible Person (RP) Certification (Compulsory)
• Clear criminal record
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Strong knowledge of valve types and applications
• Understanding of safety, permits, and isolation procedures
• Problem-solving and planning skills
• Ability to work under pressure
